OUR BACKGROUND
The Association des Parents pour la Promotion de L’éducation de Kinyami (APAPEKI) was established in 1997 with the school named Es Cyuru. Kinyami was a commune in Byumba Province. It was founded by 25 members. It was later changed to APAPEGI after Gicumbi had been named a district replacing Kinyami.
The association’s statute was approved by the Minister of Justice through a Ministerial order № 63/11/ of 20/4/2009. It is authorised by the Ministry of education to operate as a legally accepted private secondary school with day and boarding services.
